Wishing You a Merry Christmas!

This year, we bring our contribution to an important question: “Why did the turkey cross the road twice?”

It all started on LinkedIn with a post from a contact wishing us all a Merry Christmas.

Because of the picture in the post where this person was wearing a turkey hat, someone launched the quip “Why did the turkey cross the road twice?”.

We felt amused to contribute to this underestimated, important question by imagining what answers could have been given to it by a selection of persons/VIPs and organisations having somehow marked 2020.

Here it is, comments welcome on LinkedIn or at contact@reasonmakesense.com

So, why did the turkey cross the road twice?

  • Fergusson-ists: to pay a romantic visit to its fellow turkey-married lover at the other end of the city, even during a lockdown that could decimate, according to Niel’s 13-year-old buggy AI scripted model, up to 170% of the UK population!!!
  • Vallance-ists: counts of crossings of the road is not something you can model with a degree of accuracy. We can’t give specific data on that and neither can anyone else around the world. But we can make up some projections, so you can lock down the turkey. Deal?
  • Whitty-ists: to save the NHS, perhaps some turkeys too.
  • Some Pharma lobby: because it’s not vaccinated yet.
  • Antivaxxer: because it’s got vaccinated!
  • NHS: we advise turkeys with severe crossing-the-road conditions that have crossed a road, to not do it and turn back.
  • Bill Gates: You’d better recruit a lazy turkey for difficult crossings: it always finds an easy way to cross the road only once. Now, if it doesn’t cross the road as expected, just restart it and it should be fine.
  • Elon Musk: are you talking about this turkey that has gotten like me two positive and two negative test results yesterday?
  • Tavistock and Portman Trust: It is not crossing. It is transitioning.
  • LGBTQ activist: Don’t poke the chicken from the first crossing riddle, as it now self-identifies as turkey. It’s offending!
  • Gordon Ramsey: it is 19 quid to answer the question. And if you’re worried about the price, you can’t f**king afford it!!
  • Megan: Because it has an unconscious bias.
  • Van Morrison: Because like everybody else, the turkey is born to be free.
  • Piers Morgan: Don’t ever do that again, turkey! I’m going to fire you! All right? You, snivelling sycophant!
  • Someone totally responsible: Keep asking. You still have some 29 attempts left.
  • SAGE: Good question. Let’s see what data we can find about this on Wikipedia.
  • Brave call to the police: Listen, believe me. I just saw a turkey without a mask crossing the road. Yes! And it did it twice!!
  • Anonymous Health Regulator: can we come back to this in the new year, please? Still busy updating to Excel 2007…

We hope you enjoyed and had fun as much we enjoyed writing it!

Despite quite unreasonable attempts this year to silence science and facts, with the harsh consequences on social life and business activities we all witnessed, we know the truth sets us free.

In the same way that people are presumed innocent until proven otherwise, people are healthy until proven otherwise (this, using real science and reliable tests).

There is medicine to treat easily this virus but there are none so blind as those who will not see (for instance here, and here) while it is known PCR and  LFDs (Lateral Flow) tests are a complete technical failure.

The right to normal family life is a human right, a natural right.

As we keep saying: Errare Humanum Est, Perseverare Diabolicum.

What about talking turkey in 2021?

As always, we wish a Merry Christmas in this beautiful moment of the year to our past, current and prospective clients, colleagues, business partners and professional relationships.

And remember, Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. Blessings!

Our 2019 Christmas wishes.
